I got the job I've been interviewing for!  After I hadn't heard back from them through Tuesday evening, I had pretty much thought I'd messed up on Monday's interviews. But I was awakened Wednesday morning by a 8am phone call offering me the job.

I'm both nervous and excited starting a new job after 18 years working for the same company. The hours are better...40 hour work week as opposed to the 50-60 depending on month end and special projects at the old job.  The pay, of course, is less, but I expected that with starting over.  Thing is, it's starting at a much higher hourly rate than I expected, so I'm very happy about that.  The benefits look good, so that's another plus.  Another great thing is that this company is located about a mile from the house, so no long commute in rush hour traffic!  No more coming home past 7 or 8pm.  THAT's a BIG plus.

So, I had to go for a drug screening Wednesday morning and I was cleared Thursday afternoon, so I start work Monday morning at 8am!  I have a couple more days to rest and hopefully this stubborn incision will be cooperating more fully by then.
